Our Organic Cacao Butter is raw and originates from the criollo cacao bean from Satipo in Peru where it is cold pressed to preserve the full vitality of the cacao. 500g of Cacao butter is made by pressing 1.25kg - 1.5kg of raw cacao nibs. The butter melts at about 35ºC.

The fat content is full of healthy fats; omega 6 and omega 9 such as oleic acid. It also contains essential fatty acids & stearic acid, a "healthy" saturated fat which some studies have found has a neutral impact on blood cholesterol.

As it is one of the most stable fats, it is a great source of natural antioxidants such as Vitamin E, hence why it also makes a great moisturiser.

Cacao butter is essential for making chocolate’s thick texture and therefore is the perfect choice when making your own chocolate, protein bars or healthy desserts.

Add organic cacao butter for a delicious chocolate aroma and butter texture to homemade chocolate, ice cream or dessert such as in the following recipe:

Homemade Chocolate Recipe

  • 1 Cup Organic Cacao Butter melted on a low heat
  • ¾ Cup of Organic Cacao Powder
  • 6 Dates (soaked) or use stevia if you really don’t want any carbs.

Then blend!
Then add to the blender any, none or all of these options:

½ cup of Organic Coconut Cream

Organic Cinnamon

Organic Vanilla

Organic Acai

Organic Maca

Organic Maqui

Organic Dessicated Coconut

Organic Almonds

Organic Brazil Nuts

Organic Walnuts

Organic Cashews

And whatever you else can imagine.....i.e. pea protein, whey protein - if you want more of a protein bar.

 

Refrigerate for a few hours and voila! You have your very own organically made chocolate packed with antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and awesome fats.....Enjoy:)

This stuff is awesome! It is much higher quality than anything I can find in the shops in my area. I now get a lot of my fat blocks from making chocolate using this ingredient with cacao powder, maple syrup and almonds. Yes, that’s right, healthy chocolate! I highly recommend this product.

I didn't have a clue how to use this stuff before buying it, but have tried some great recipes with it and really like it. It makes a beautiful healthy chocolate sauce combined with the cacao powder and agave syrup!!
