Who Needs Multi Vitamins When You Can Have Superfoods!
Cacao Nibs are crushed Cacao beans which are from the seeds of the theobroma cacao, an Amazonian fruiting tree (aka "The Food of the Gods") and source of all chocolate and cocoa products. The Mexican Mayan kings drank up to 30 pure chocolate drinks a day to maintain their vigour and valued the bean so highly that it was used as money. Our raw Nibs from Peru are from the best tasting premium criollo variety and are simply the shelled and crushed chocolate beans which are perfect to add to your smoothie and give it that crunchy feel.
Nutritional Benefits
Raw Cacao Nibs are a fantastic source of beta-carotene, amino acids, Omega-3 EFA's, calcium, zinc, iron, copper, sulphur, potassium, and one of the best food sources of muscle relaxing magnesium.

FAQ’s
1. How much caffeine does cacao have? All natural products vary, but it is generally considered to have about 1% caffeine (as compared to tea at 4% and coffee which can be more than 10%)
2. So why do I feel so good eating cacao? Cacao has other naturally occurring phytochemicals like theobromine (considered an aphrodisiac), phenylethylamine (PEA – released when we fall in love), and anandamide (the ‘bliss' chemical)
3. Is the cacao grown sustainably? Our cacao is sustainably cultivated and grown without chemical fertilisers and is non-genetically modified. The Peruvian grower of our cacao crop is Fair Trade certified – supporting rather than exploiting economically disadvantaged farmers preventing poverty cycles that can lead to environmental devastation.
